A playful and enriching experience for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers! This class is led by an instructor with a background in early childhood development and dance. This 6-week session provides a predictable class structure that will allow our little ones to feel safe to then learn and participate. Class begins with circle time songs incorporating movement and props. Each song is intentionally chosen to support and encourage our little ones language development and fine and gross motor skills. Props are used to facilitate creative movement and ideas among the little ones and to encourage socialization. Finishing with parachute play and a story, the goal is to build community between parents with this younger age group while supporting our little ones development with songs they'll come to know and love and movements they'll take home.
About the Instructor
Tricia DeSario is a dancer and an early childhood educator. She received her undergraduate degree in communication disorders and sciences from SUNY Geneseo. She worked as an early intervention therapist as well as in public schools as a speech therapist while living in NYC. Tricia then left that profession to pursue her dance career, performing in the musical theatre industry in regional theatre productions, as well as in national touring productions of 42nd Street, and in television on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The pandemic brought a change in perspective with the birth of her daughter and a change in location. She is now merging her two passions, early childhood development and dance, to bring the Berkshires community of toddlers and their caregivers together with Movement and Music for Little Ones.
