Paintings by Celia Lennex will be on display in our Youth section through the month of April.

Humble Elementary artist and Sheffield native Celia Lennex. Celia began regularly painting as an escape at age 9, self-taught she developed her skills over time.  Other interests include playing sports; softball and basketball, listening to music and acting.

Statement from her mother:

Celia has always been creative and artistic.  In the fall of 2020 while attending Community Learning in the Berkshires (CLuB) for remote learning, Celia was exposed to painting on canvas. One day she came home asked for her own supplies and that holiday season she was gifted different size canvases and acrylic paints. During a very strange time early in the pandemic this gave Celia an outlet to explore and escape. Her art varies between landscapes and abstract pieces. As her mother, I quickly identified her natural talent and week after week realized that these pieces created during the last year and a half should be shown in the community. This is Celia's first art show and her artwork will go on exhibit at the Bushnell Sage library for the month of April.  Please stop by to view her artwork.
