Science Fridays

STEM educator Jane Burke will guide children as they do experiments to answer questions in Chemistry, Geology, Physics and Engineering. The explorations will help them understand how scientists pose a question, design an experiment and collect data that can reveal the answer.

Children ages 6-12 will investigate aspects of science and engineering including topics like the geology of clay and making clay using Sheffield clay, the chemistry of water, and the physics of motion.

Sessions are March 1, April 5 and May 3 from 3:30 to 5:30. Space is limited. Please sign up by calling 413-229-7004 indicating which dates you have chosen, all or just one is fine.

This program has been funded by the Sheffield Cultural Council through the Massachusetts Cultural Council a state agency.
